| Safety |

Normal glass and tempered glass tends
to shatter when accidents occur. Laminated glass however may break,
but it's fragements remain adhered on the interlayer film to avoid
injuries. Moreover, the laminated glass piece will retain some level
of visibility to avoid other injury. |
| Security |
 |
Car burglaries and theft have been increasing
throughout the world. Tempered (sidelites, rearlites, backlites) glass
can be broken very easily. If a car has laminated glass with S-LEC
film however, the glass is very difficult to penetrate and can deter
potential thieves. This S-LEC film protects not only vehicles but
also passengers. |
| UV Screening |
 |
Laminated glass with S-LEC film screens
more than 99% of harmful UV rays. Furthermore, this film prevents
the discoloration and deterioration of plastic and leather products
commonly found in vehicles today. |
| Sound Control |
 |
S-LEC Film for automotive laminated glass
effectively reduces sound coming from the outside such as annoying
wind noise.
Because S-LEC Acoustic Film has higher sound control property than
other normal interlayer films, it drastically improves a vehicle's
quiet environment and amenity. |
| Solar Control |
 |
S-LEC Solar Control Film reduces the transmission
of heat (infrared, Infra Red) rays from the sun effectively controlling
in-car temperature.
An experience conducted in a closed car proves that this film reduces
the in-car temperature and the temperatures on the car's interior
such as a handle by approx. 10°C compared to a car with normal
laminated glass. |
